This man, identified as Libyan rebel Senad el Sadık el Ureybi, claims to be the person responsible for fatally shooting viral video sensation Muammar Gaddafi the other day. "We grabbed him, I hit him in the face. Some fighters wanted to take him away and that's when I shot him twice, in the head and in the chest," reports Ynetnews. The man shows off a gold ring and a bloody shirt that he claims had belonged to Gaddafi, but that's some pisspoor lighting and camera work going on there, so who really knows.

Nobody's confirmed whether the confession is authentic, so this video might just be nothing more than the start of a new, gruesome fake-confession meme. In which case Senad el Sadık el Ureybi will still get written up on the history websites, but probably only on Libya's version of Encyclopedia Dramatica (if they have one) and not on, say, Encyclopedia Brittanica, dot com.
