The Great $3 Million Toothbrush Heist
Florida authorities have arrested a trio of dental hygiene heisters, peridontal purloiners accused of stealing $3 million worth of electric toothbrushes and whitening strips from more than 60 retail stores.
The Palm Beach Post reports Brian Hegmann and Lauren Ann Healy (ages 26 and 23, at left) are believed to have done the stealing. Pawn shop manager Igor Roytikh (44, at right) was arrested for helping unload the goods, and "indicated to investigators that the toothbrushes were sold over the internet," because come on, it's Boca Raton. Unless they're stealing dentures, too, the black market demand for oral hygiene products just isn't there. [Palm Beach Post via Fark]
