The Great Class Warfare War of 2011 saw "fighting" (useless bitching) continue well into Monday night, mostly on the television program of self-appointed Nassau County police dispatcher Bill O'Reilly.

What would happen to America if President Obama's plan to raise marginal tax rates several percent on the highest incomes, along with closing or capping certain high-end loopholes and deductions, became law? Well, aside from the Apocalypse, Bill O'Reilly might just go on strike and refuse the economy his productive services!

Here's O'Reilly — who notes that he "wants the feds to get more revenue," just apparently not from him, because, really, he'd survive a marginal federal tax increase with all vital organs intact — volleying a few missiles at the class-warlord-in-chief:

Here's the unintended consequence of Mr. Obama's revenue enhancing plan, and I must tell you I want the feds to get more revenue. I don't want to starve them, as some people do. We need a robust military, a good transportation system and protections all over the place. But if you tax achievement, some of the achievers are going to pack it in.

Again, let's take me. My corporations employ scores of people. They depend on me to do what I do so they can make a nice salary. If Barack Obama begins taxing me more than 50 percent, which is very possible, I don't know how much longer I'm going to do this. I like my job, but there comes a point when taxation becomes oppressive. Is the country really entitled to half a person's income?

Got it, Obama? Modest tax increases on Bill O'Reilly may very well send the Fox News host home in a fuss, forever denying the country a great source of nighty erudition. Now please apologize to Bill O'Reilly for ever considering to raise taxes on the wealthy in a political climate of deficit reduction.

It's almost like they're realizing that deficit reduction isn't fun.
