America! What is wrong with you? Despite the fact that Wal-Mart is the only store of any size left in your post-apocalyptic economically decimated little towns, Wal-Mart's sales have been falling for two years now. Important update: it's getting worse!

Or better, depending on how much you hate Wal-Mart and The American Way. Bloomberg got an internal Wal-Mart memo, which reveals that the company's big "get everyone to buy some Hanes socks while they're picking up Pop-Tarts" strategy is not paying off. Store visits have dropped another 2.6% since February, while traffic is up at WM competitors ranging from Target to Kroger to depressing Dollar stores.

I'd love to think that this had something to do with it. But it's probably just that Wal-Mart sucks a big one.
