A student attending Michigan State's College of Osteopathic Medicine was charged with 13 felonies and one misdemeanor in connection with the killing, mutilating, or torturing dogs — Italian Greyhounds, to be precise.

Investigators say Andrew David Thompson, 24, has been bringing the dogs to his apartment over the past nine months, where the crimes were committed. A neighbor concerned with how many dogs they'd seen going into Thompson's apartment — only to never be seen again — called the tip into authorities.

Thompson was suspended from school on June 23. He's currently being held on $100,000 bond, which he was unable to come up with. His first court appearance is Wednesday morning. Awful? Yes. But still no Baby in a Microwave. [WLNS via HuffPo, mugshot via examiner.com]
