According to a writer for the "Communities" section of the Washington Times, which apparently lets any old patriotic American sign up and start writin' against Sharia, Anthony Weiner is a Muslim. Of course he is!

The writer is Eliana Benador, a former flack for neoconservatives (her clients included Richard Perle and former CIA director James Woolsey) who pals around with Joe Lieberman. The logic, such as it is, is as follows: Muslims lie. Muslims are bad. Anthony Weiner lies and is bad and is married to a Muslim. Quod erat demonstrandum ipso facto mutatis mutandis post hoc ergo propter hoc modus ponens:

Given the defense articulated by the Imam, which would be offered only for a Muslim man, we must believe this opportunity to remove this Muslim woman from a union with an non-believer would be quickly taken. Therefore we must consider that Mr. Weiner *may* have converted to Islam, because if he did not, we have to consider the unlikely, that being that Ms. Abedin has abandoned her Muslim faith, even while she still practices.

As unassailable as Benador's reasoning is—can you think of a better way for Al Qaida to advance its agenda of violent fundamentalist Islam than to install a Jewish Israel-supporting mole in the House of Representatives who can use his power to send photos of his circumcised cock to random women on the internet?— the Washington Times has caved to the forces of Sharia and taken the piece down. But the struggle lives on!
