Some impressive animal smuggling attempts have been busted up over the years, but this one possibly beats them all in terms of audacity. A 36-year-old Emirati man, Noor Mahmoodr, was arrested at Bangkok's Suvarnabuhmi Airport attempting to fly first class to Dubai with what has been described as "a virtual zoo."

According to the Director of FREELAND Foundation, Steven Galster, inside Mahmoodr's luggage were "2 leopards, 2 panthers, 1 Asiatic black bear, and 2 macaque monkeys." Damn! All were sedated and still alive. He told the AP:

"It was a very sophisticated smuggling operation. We've never seen one like this before," Galster said. "The guy had a virtual zoo in his suitcases."
