Every morning, schoolchildren in China have to do synchronized morning exercises. Usually these are boring calisthenics performed to a soundtrack of communist anthems.

But the 700 students at this school in southwest China do a Michael Jackson dance routine to get ready for the day. Here they are performing Dangerous. "This is fun and it is also very good exercise for them," headmaster Wan Lu said. "They have other routines but this one is their favourite." It was apparently inspired by that famous Thriller reenactment staged by all those Filipino prisoners. (School resembles prison all over the world, apparently.) Oh yeah, China?
