You know who's a real bastard? Bill Sammon, the Washington managing editor of Fox News. As the guy whose job it is to direct Fox News' political "coverage," we expect him to be a huge hypocrite about his own company, and to specifically direct his "news" anchors to use Republican talking points on various controversial issues. It kind of goes along with the job.

No, it's Bill Sammon's lying with full knowledge that he is lying that gets us. Media Matters unearthed a recording of a 2009 Sammon speech in which he said:

"Last year, candidate Barack Obama stood on a sidewalk in Toledo, Ohio, and first let it slip to Joe the Plumber that he wanted to ‘spread the wealth around.' At that time, I have to admit that I went on TV on Fox News and publicly engaged in what I guess was some rather mischievous speculation about whether Barack Obama really advocated socialism, a premise that privately I found rather far-fetched."

And he then proceeded to ensure that Fox News tied Obama to socialism over and over again. Haha, that is so mischievous! Bill Sammon is such a mischievous Republican propagandist farcically masquerading as a "journalist" for America's most shameless Republican propaganda outlet. You must be proud, Bill Sammon.
