Larry Crowne: America's Sweethearts, In Love at Last
[There was a video here]
Here's a trailer for Larry Crowne, the romantic comedy starring Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks, who also directed and co-wrote. While these two-biggest-American-movie-stars have been on screen together, in Charlie Wilson's War, this is their first time smooching and falling in love. America is healed?
I mean, after all the strife and misery of the past ten years, maybe this is all we need. America's dad and America's "aunt" who isn't really an aunt (she used to be America's girl next door but, y'know, time) hooking up in warm, whimsical fashion. Maybe this will cure all that ails us.
Or maybe it will just be a cute story about adult education and the joys of surprise love. Aside from the two big notables, this movie features an interesting and varied cast — Taraji P. Henson, Bryan Cranston, Cedric the Entertainer, Pam Grier, George Takei, Wilmer Valderrama (!!), and the beguiling Rami Malek, who was in the Hanks-produced miniseries The Pacific. Oh, and there's a Streep girl! Yeah, Mamie Gummer's younger sister Grace took some time off from her busy schedule filming that Teen Nick show Gigantic to play a student here. Kind of a fun group, huh? Minus Fez, of course.
So yeah. Get ready to feel good again, everyone.
