What's the proper way to fight off a tiger in the jungle? Aside from shooting it with a very large gun, I have no clue. But a 60-year-old Malaysian man named Tambun Gediu found one way to survive a tiger attack last week, according to the New Straits Times:

"I was trailing a squirrel and crouched to shoot it with my blowpipe when I saw the tiger. That's when I realised that I was being trailed."

And that's when I'd just give up and start sobbing like a baby. But Tambun tried to escape by climbing a nearby tree, which didn't work as the tiger quickly pulled him back down. Then things got really physical:

"I was terrified and I used all my strength to punch the animal in the face, but it would not budge. I had to wrestle with it to keep its jaws away from me, and it would have clawed me to death if my wife had not arrived."

Tambun's 55-year-old wife, Han Besau, heard the scuffle, rushed outside and started beating the animal with a large wooden ladle, eventually chasing the tiger back into the jungle. That's tough.
