Silvio Berlusconi, the world's Italian-est prime minister, is being investigated by prosecutors in Milan for having sex with a 17-year-old prostitute, according to Corriere della Sera.

The prostitute in question—a Moroccan belly-dancer called Karima el-Mahroug who goes by the name Ruby, Stealer of Hearts—had previously told Italian police that Berlusconi invited her to parties that ended in an "erotic game known to participants as bunga bunga" and that he paid her 7,000 Euros. But she claimed he "didn't ask for anything in return," according to the Guardian.

It would appear that Italian prosecutors suspect otherwise. Berlusconi hasn't been charged, but has been "invited to present himself for questioning." The office of Nicole Minetti, el-Mahroug's guardian and a political confidant of Berlusconi (not to mention former showgirl and dental hygienist) was raided by Milanese police this morning as part of the inquiry. Berlusconi dismissed the investigation as politically motivated.

Oddly, (or perhaps predictably?) the age of sexual consent in Italy is 14, but paying for bunga-bunga with a prostitute under the age of 18 is an offense punishable by three years in prison.
