It's almost the end of the year, the time when various websites mine their statistics for interesting trends. Facebook declared "HMU" the hottest word of 2010. And now LinkedIn has compiled the most overused corporate buzzwords of the year.

Among job seekers, the worst offender is "extensive experience." Everyone has it, so shut up about yours. Also, no one believes you when you say you are "results oriented" or a "team player," because everyone is.
