The Way We Live Now: spelunking the cavernous divide between rich and poor. It's so spacious in there! There's room for everybody! Between Carl Icahn and female CEOs and the poors...trickle down, trickle down, trickle down, evermore!

Look, it's a record gap between the rich and the poor in America! An income ratio of 14.5 to one! Congratulations, America! Pack that up with your plunge in household income and your persistent male vs. female pay gap and call 2009 the most awesomest year ever in America, until 2010 is done for, at least!

We're sure that our populist Supreme Court will make things better once it finishes up with these cases on the rights of corporations.

So it's party time! Bill and Ted! Excellent! Call your compadres, America, and tell them that even though Carl Icahn himself can't make money with a motherfucking casino on the Vegas strip, the sunny sunshine tells you that the trickle down will rain gold upon most everybody if we just leave these tax cuts for the rich in place.

Because that's what makes sense. Doing great things for the rich, in order to help the poor. Fuck Occam and his razor. Helping the rich is the way to go, to solve poverty. That's why we're still having this discussion. Because it makes sense.

Here's to a lucky fourth quarter, you bastards.
