Texas Rubes to Save Kids From Muslim Textbook Conspiracy
The wacky textbook-rewriting rubes in Texas are at it again! This time, the patriotic defenders of patriotism are out to solve the biggest problem facing the teetering public education system in America: pro-Islamic bias.
The Texas Board of Education will vote tomorrow on a resolution decrying the "gross pro-Islamic, anti-Christian distortions in social studies texts." Of course, the books in question haven't been used since 2003, but no matter. There's also the little matter of the ongoing Caliphate mind-control conspiracy. From the NYT:
As evidence of Islamic influence in textbook publishing, [Resolution-sponsoring rube Randy] Rives [pictured] cited a 2008 decision by the Dubai royal family to invest heavily in a company that owns the publishing house Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in Boston.
Earlier this year, the family's investment arm, Istithmar World Capital, lost its stake in the publishing house after the publishing company restructured its debt.
That's what they want you to think. Onward, Texas soldiers! Unto victory!
