Like all great things meant for nerds, Futurama, especially this season, has dealt with a lot of issues of equality and acceptance. On the 100th episode tonight, mutants finally gained theirs (Leela included) with an old fashioned sewer march.

Tonight's was not the best episode of the season, but in light of the end of this season let's all of us think about the fact that this show was able to come back after a very long hiatus and air a solid string of episodes as if it had never been gone. Thank you Groening and Company for giving this dead TV summer a shot in the arm. Let's hope they keep at it unti at least a solid portion of the cast are long gone (or cryogenically frozen).
