A memo just went out to NYDN employees announcing that CEO Marc Kramer is being replaced by William Holiber, who also runs U.S. News and World Report. The full memo is below.

MESSAGE FROM MORTIMER B. ZUCKERMAN, Daily News Chairman and Publisher

William D. Holiber has been appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the Daily News. Bill will assume this role in addition to his current responsibilities as President and Chief Executive Officer of U.S. News & World Report. Current Chief Executive Officer Marc Z. Kramer is leaving to pursue other opportunities.

I want to take this opportunity to thank Marc for his contributions to the paper over the past four-plus years. He has done a tremendous job, and I know he is going to succeed in his future endeavors.

During the next several weeks, Bill and Marc will work together to ensure a smooth transition.
