An iPad Runs New York City
Michael Bloomberg is basically running his entire city off an iPad. Gotham's fanboy mayor reportedly clings to his Apple tablet like a "security blanket" when he's not calling his new best friend Steve Jobs, the Apple CEO.
The mayor uses the device for both official and personal business, according to the Daily News, using it to read briefing packets and iBooks alike; taking official notes and checking his email; planning his borough-hopping on Google Maps and keeping up with his prized and inexplicable e-subscription to Aviation Week. He also goes all "squee!" with Jobs: "I told Steve Jobs the other day, if he can improve on this, it'll really be amazing." Indeed! Crucial improvement number one: Stop exposing the mayor's private iPad information. It's more dangerous than Bloomberg thinks.
