Whoa whoa, product placement spending—the money that ensures that your TV shows, movies, video games, and every other damn thing feature lots of real quality car and soda brands—actually fell last year. But there's good news, brand fans!

  • Product placement spending fell 2.8% last year.
  • But overall ad spending fell 12%.
  • And companies still spent $3.6 billion placing their products onto 30 Rock and other fine shows.
  • And that spending is projected to double by 2014.

Whew. We were worried there, for a minute.
