Maggie Betts
A social fixture and pal of Barbara Bush, Betts is the daughter of Chelsea Piers developer Roland Betts, a Bush BFF himself.
A modern-day socialite with a Princeton degree in English Literature, Betts could have very easily spent her days flitting from red carpet event to society dinners. Rather, Betts has become a devoted humanitarian, directing her first feature documentary The Carrier in 2010, which chronicled the story of a Zambian woman determined not to give her unborn child HIV. The Tribeca Film Festival featured the film in its documentary series, and she has supplemented the film with outreach on behalf of UNICEF and the World Food Programme. However, she has not shied away from her fashionista status, with magazines like Essence and Elle gobbling up her style tips and providing an inside look at her closet. [Image via Getty]
