The founder of Cinema Society, Saffir is one of the most ubiquitous socials in town: If there's a party on the Upper East Side tonight where women will be standing around in their Louboutin heels sipping on champagne, you can expect to see Andrew Saffir and his boyfriend Daniel Benedict telling them how fabulous they look.

Saffir was raised in Manhattan and attended Hunter High School and NYU before working as a marketing exec at Ralph Lauren in the 1990s. In 2002, he teamed up with Katrina Pavlos and Vanessa Wingate to start Grand Classics, which screened movies for VIPs at high-end venues around town. The trio split up three years later after a dispute over compensation but Saffir went on to start his own VIP screening outfit, Cinema Society. He's since managed to establish a lucrative little business, roping in a long list of boldface names (Julianne Moore, Madonna, Tim Robbins, Jake Gyllenhaal, Bono) and earning major fees from brands like Chanel and Calvin Klein in exchange for sponsorships. The star-studded screenings have upped Saffir's social profile, although it isn't as if he was exactly lurking in the shadows before Cinema Society came along. Almost every night of the week the preppy Saffir and his golden-hued boyfriend Daniel Benedict make appearances at events. [Image via Getty]
