You may have thought that news stories about the Pope and pedophilia were based on his shady doings when he found out that children were being abused. Get thee away devil! It was Satan's work. The pope remains blameless.

Father Gabriele Amorth, 85, told the Catholic News Agency that "because he is a marvelous Pope and worthy successor to John Paul II, it is clear that the devil wants to ‘grab hold' of him."

He added that the pedophile clergy were also blameless. The devil, you see, "uses" them to baselessly smear the church. "The devil wants the death of the Church because she is the mother of all the saints," he added.
