Pundits Split on People Falling Down and Their Wackiness or Lack Thereof

In your beautiful Thursday media column: Keith Olbermann takes back a joke, a hedge fund withdraws from the NYT, price wars from the WSJ, and Bill O'Reilly has a little advice for ya, kid.

• Keith Olbermann accidentally made fun of a newscaster who fell out of her chair because she has MS. Last night he apologized, which was the classy thing to do. People falling down: the hottest topic of moral debate, in today's America.
• The hedge fund buccaneers at Harbinger Capital though they could buy up a chunk of the New York Times and get that place back on the right track, made of money. Alas, it was not possible. Now Harbinger has cut its stake in the NYT from 20% to less than 12%. The bright side: they found somebody to take it off their hands!
• Newspaper war update: The WSJ is cutting its subscription prices to as little as $10 per month in an attempt to steal readers from the NYT. But will the WSJ have features on hot young gossip bloggers? Know thyself, WSJ.
• Homosexual (check this?) journalist Bill O'Reilly was on the teevee last night giving journalism tips on how to ambush people, interview-style! Remember when Bill's sidekick spent like a whole week just stone cold hiding from John Cook? That was awesome.
