Dana Cowin
Cowin is the editor-in-chief of Food & Wine, the magazine owned by American Express.
A born and bred New Yorker, after she graduated from Brown, Cowin maneuvered her way through top-tier periodicals, having worked as an associate editor at Vogue and as managing editor at HG and Mademoiselle. She landed at Food & Wine in 1995 and has been there ever since, although she can also boast the title Senior Vice President of American Express Publishing, which means she oversees every iteration of Food & Wine from its website to cookbooks. Although Food & Wine and Cowin are not afraid to shill—they are heavily intertwined with the reality show Top Chef, and the mag is owned by AmEx after all—Cowin also has shown her philanthropic side as the director of City Harvest, which spearheads the annual "Skip Lunch, Fight Hunger" campaign.
