Logan Lerman rumormongers about his own role. There is a glut of 3D movies. Nelly Furtado's in a hockey musical. The 'Paranormal Activity' people have five more films coming. Ease yourself into the Trade Roundup's all-leather interior.

•Logan Lerman, the 18 year-old star of the upcoming Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief may have gotten a little ahead of himself in saying he was in talks to be the new Tobey McGuire in Spider-Man. According to Columbia Pictures, "No offers have been made, nor have any business discussions been made with Lerman." Welcome to the big leagues, kid. Now shut up and let your publicist do the talking [THR

•There are too many 3D films. Not for us—we will see anything as long as it is in 3D. But for the number of 3D screens that exist in America. Now that Warner Bros. Clash of the Titans is being converted to 3D, the number of 3D films threatens to overwhelm our nation's already strapped 3,500 3D-capable screens. By the time it opens in April, there will already be three 3D flicks jostling for space: How To Train Your Dragon, Alice in Wonderland and, still, Avatar. Doesn't matter, we're going to see them all five times apiece. 3D RULES! [TheWrap]

•Did you like Paranormal Activity? There's a lot more where that came from. Creators Oren Peli, Jason Blum and Steven Schneider have signed a five-picture deal with the Canadian distributor Alliance Films to produce and distribute their special brand of supercheap thrillers. First up is Insidious, from Saw creators James Wan and Leigh Whannell. Paranormal Activity is sort of this generation's Blair Witch, right? But whatever happened to those Blair Witch guys? Uh oh... [Ominous music plays] [Variety]

•OK, this is confusing: The main character of the old-school Western show Gunsmoke is named Matt Dillon. But Matt Dillon—who for obvious reasons would be perfect for the role—is not even in talks to play him in the upcoming CBS Films' adaptation. Instead, Brad Pitt and Ryan Reynolds are. Pitt has precedence as the star of the excellent The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. Meanwhile, Matt Dillon is in talks to play Brad Pitt in a Broadway musical adaptation of the DVD extras of The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford. [LAT]

Eric Bana will star opposite The Lovey Bones' Saoirse Ronan in Focus Features' Hanna, a film about a 14 year-old assassin. Kids these days! [Variety]

•IFC just bought the rights to a Joan Rivers documentary. It is called Joan Rivers: A Piece of Work Nice one! [THR]

Danny McBride, who is currently the most underrated comedic actor OF OUR TIME, will be starring in L.A.P.I., an action comedy directed by Jody Hill (Eastbound and Down). He'll play a 'beaten-down, hardboiled P.I.'. [Variety]

•Nelly Furtado is about to become the most famous Candian singer-songwriter to star in a musical about Hockey, ever. Furtado will be starring in Score: A Hockey Musical as a hockey fan whose hockey buzz is harshed by her mean mom (Olivia Newton-John). Look for the sequel: Curling: A Curling Musical. Or something?
