Larry King's Haiti Benefit: Celebrities, Confusion and the Tweet Suite
Tonight on CNN, a special two-hour edition of Larry King Live is underway. The official point of the broadcast is to raise money for the victims of the Haiti earthquake. Unofficially, it's about the celebrities and their precious "Tweet Suite."
King amassed an impressive group of stars to work the phones and pander to the camera tonight, and he wants to make DAMN SURE you know that.
You see, it seems nary a moment went by without a celebrity namedrop by the suspenders-wearing, geriatric host—he loves Snoop Dogg—except for when he was asking odd questions to Anderson Cooper and Sanjay Gupta (who were on the scene in Haiti) or trying to rein in a questionably sober Tea Leoni.
There was the Tweet Suite, too, with Ryan Seacrest as our guide. Janet Jackson sent in a tweet. So did President Obama—it was his first tweet EVAR!
Below, our favorite offbeat moments from tonight's broadcast. And just to illustrate how many of them there were, this entire video was cut from the first half of the two-hour (still in progress) special.
