"Cowboys and Aliens" is one of those projects that will either be really awful or really awesome: Apache Indians and white settlers come together when an alien spaceship crash-lands in their city. Daniel Craig is in talks to star.

He'd replace Robert Downey Jr., who we really couldn't imagine playing a cowboy anyway. (Or an Apache Indian, but maybe an alien?) Craig also stars in the upcoming Spielberg film "The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn." And the next James Bond flick: "James Bond: The Secret of the Unicorn." [Variety]

•While sucky Jay Leno's sucky ratings dropped 10 percent, Conan's "Tonight Show" ratings have shot sky-high thanks to the NBC late-night shakedown. He beat Letterman by nearly double in the 18-49 demo. Look for CBS to announce they're firing Letterman in the next few days. [TheWrap]

•We believe "Terminator, Salvation" was one of the loudest movies ever to be made. Now, Lionsgate may be about to buy the rights to make an even louder "Terminator" film in the future (In 3-D!?): They're the leading bidder for the "Terminator" franchise with $15 million. This would mean Lionsgate would own the "Terminator," "Saw" and Tyler Perry franchises. Do we see "Terminator vs. Madea" in our future? Yes, please. [Variety]

•A sequel to the 2005 Mark Wahlberg-starring "Four Brothers" may be on the way. Yay? [THR]

•Kate Gosselin's hair will star in a new reality show on TLC. The premise is that the hair—conveyed atop Kate Gosselin—will try "different jobs and tasks." [The Wrap]

Leonardo DiCaprio is SUCH a nerd: He's narrating a new 3-D IMAX film about the Hubble telescope. [THR]
