"Why have kids?" So asks Motherlode blog reader "Bailey," in a heartfelt effort to get to the bottom of the mystery of human reproductive urges. She came to the right place; if anyone can solve philosophical conundrums, it's internet commenters.
Whilst many of the 200+ mostly enraptured parents who responded to Bailey's question cited biological necessity, overwhelming love, and personal fulfillment—interspersed with the odd anti-baby dissident—this one really captured the entire parenting zeitgeist best.
