A college-aged man was shot at Harvard just before 5 p.m. Monday. He lived. Two to three suspected assailants remain at large.

The shooting occurred in an entry to undergraduate dorm Kirkland House, according to the Harvard Crimson.

All that's known about the victim is that he is in "stable" condition at a Boston hospital; was "college aged;" and is African American. It's not clear yet if he was a student.

Police told the Crimson the attack was likely "a targeted shooting."

Police sent out text message alerts to Harvard students about 45 minutes after the attack.

The shooting came less than two weeks after a fatal shooting at Wesleyan University by a man who had contemplated a "Jewish Columbine." Thankfully, this incident has not yet resulted in any fatalities.
