Crazy Commenter Continues to Wait for Commies
@Iceland_Spar: Was going to say that I'm afraid of getting a commie for the same reason that Alexander sat down and cried after conquering the world: no where to go but down.
But then I read this:
"Plutarch's Moralia - On Tranquillity of Mind, 4: Alexander wept when he heard from Anaxarchus that there was an infinite number of worlds, and his friends asking him if any accident had befallen him, he returns this answer: Do not you think it a matter worthy of lamentation, that, when there is such a vast multitude of them, we have not yet conquered one?"
I finally got the venue I wanted for my dance quintet, you know...my cycle...at Crane Jackson's Fountain Street Theatre this Tuesday night, and I'd love it if you came and gave me notes.
Sh-sh-sh-sh- Scheisse!!Mein Toga umfaßt nicht meine Tätowierung!!
My toga is not covering my tattoo.. (not sure if this is a true translation..)
"Umfassen" usually means "encompass," it only means "cover" when you are talking about thematic content of things: e.g., "The textbook covered the entire history of the Western Roman Empire." "Bedecken" is the verb you're looking for.
Also, "Toga" is feminine.
Furthermore, as per the latest spelling reform, "Umfaßt" shouldn't be spelled with an Eszett, whereas "Scheiße" should be spelled with one.
"I just farted! Look, bubbles!"
