American queen Sarah Palin spent her New Year's Eve in the traditional Wasilla way: placing angry phone calls to media outlets insisting her teen (mom) daughter and her man aren't high school dropouts.

"You need to know that both Levi and Bristol are working their butts off to parent and going to school and working at the same time," the former Republican vice presidential nominee told People magazine in a phone message on New Year's Eve. "They are certainly not high school dropouts."

Sarah Palin hilariously "issued a statement," (which, while not written in her own brand of pidgin English, does use her own brand of crack logic) saying that these salacious and erroneous reports of a lack of academic chops on behalf of the young couple "harms Bristol's reputation and Levi's reputation and their chances for good work opportunities."

Their status as uncomfortable teen parents held tightly under the rural Alaskan thumb of Sarah Palin, by contrast, does the opposite. [WP]
