Fashion Week Comes to a Close

- Fashion Week concluded today. New York Fashion Week, that is. Feel free to take a moment to sympathize with the exhausted editors and buyers who are now crossing the Atlantic to attend London Fashion Week which begins tomorrow. [AFP]
- Ralph Lauren's show today was "an ode to work." ("I believe in the resilient spirit of America—and I have always loved real working clothes," explained Lauren.) There was lots of denim, folk music by Woody Guthrie, and one of the hardest-working Americans around, Janet Jackson, in the front row. [NYT, WWD, WSJ, NYP]
- The Calvin Klein show took place this afternoon. On hand to see Francisco Costa's collection: Eva Mendes, Rose Byrne, Molly Sims, Kerry Washington, and Thandie Newton. [AP, WWD, WSJ]
- Isaac Mizrahi's show featured a golf cart, staircase, "rain," and three-piece jazz band. Kathy Griffin was the star attraction. [Cut, NYT]
- Party report: T magazine celebrated its fifth anniversary with a fete last night at the Standard's Boom Boom Room. Calvin Klein, Simon Doonan, Hamish Bowles, Thakoon Panichgul, Phillip Lim, Courtney Love, Josh Hartnett, Catherine Malandrino, Tory Burch, Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough made appearances.
