• It looks like Madonna scored a bargain, after all. Three months after it was reported that she paid $40 million for a townhouse at 152 East 81st Street and one week after word spread that she was paying $32.5 million for the manse, comes the news that she's actually paying a smidge less. • Tommy Hilfiger tried to sell his Plaza duplex for $50 million last fall. A buyer never came along to take it off his hands, though, and he pulled the listing last December. Now he's gearing up to move in. Hilfiger and his wife, Dee, who are expecting a son in a few weeks, are working with interior designer Cindy Rinfret on the decor, and the family will move into the 6,000-square-foot spread sometime this fall.
