We wonder how he got this exclusive Segway-access when the concert organizers explicitly banned bicycles, skateboards, and scooters inside the concert grounds?" Lest any of you children forget, Woz is quite literally the man that took computers out from the Uni labs and into the home (well, OK, the garage anyway). He started building computers for himself because he couldn't afford anything that would run software. When's the last time anyone did that?
The man is unassailable, especially on a site about an industry that he personally brought into being. So ya, THAT!
I worked a beer booth at Shoreline to help raise some funds for a charity, and served a Segway riding Wozniak at the bar way at the top of the lawn. He was real nice, gave my friend a few lessons on how to ride a Segway, and bought paid for his beers with sheets of $2 bills.
He told us he can get away with Segwaying it all over Shoreline because he was heavily involved in it (financially I'm assuming) back in the day. I guess his stroke in the music community carries over to Outside Lands as well.
Personally I'd like to see Woz walk a bit. He is the widest human being I've ever met.
I'm going to tape that photo to my daughter's bedroom ceiling to discourage her from ever having sex.
