The high rollers who raised millions for Hillary Clinton's campaign are getting (another) visit today from the man who helped dashed their dreams—Obama's campaign manager. And guess what? He's going to be asking them for millions more. David Plouffe, one of Obama's closest advisors, will be stopping off at a Midtown law firm today to meet with a group of HillRaisers who oiled and operated Hil's vaunted money machine.

Expected to jump on the OB bandwagon: Venture capitalist Alan Patricof, former DNC finance chief Maureen White (and wife of financier Steve Rattner), and investment banker Hassan Nemazee. But not all of Hill's supporters are planning to join the effort. Some high-profile backers who are still in mourning have been hestitant to jump to Obama or, even worse, help out the DNC and Howard Dean. Clinton mega-supporter Susie Tompkins Buell, the founder of Esprit, remains on the fence, as does Lynn Forester de Rothschild, a major Dem fundraiser, entrepreneur and heir. As for relentless Clinton loyalist Lanny Davis, he might have the chutzpah to ask Plouffe to sign his Hillary-for-VP petition.
