Yesterday, some of you Vista-using, registry-repairing, bug-ignoring Microsoft lovers weren't impressed when I reported Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer's secret plans to eat Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg's brains. Come on. The guy's a thug, and it's only going to get worse because his psych-out tactics are clearly working elsewhere.

First Ballmer called Facebook a "fad," a classic neg if there ever was one, and now Google CEO Eric Schmidt is crediting Microsoft for successfully slowing down its DoubleClick integration. "The hubbub looks like it's come mainly from one competitor," Schmidt told analysts yesterday at the Googleplex, after they needled him about the slow progress of the deal. Does Schmidt really believe Ballmer has powers of mind control over the Federal Trade Commission? All we can say is: Brrrraaaaaains! (Photo by AP/Lee Jin-man)
