I think it's discrimination [to ban underweight models]. We are skinny, this is our work. There are lots of overweight people working in offices but I'm not going to say "This girl is fat, she can't work in an office."

That's Russian model Valentina Zelyaeva, coming to the defense of thin models during Milan's Fashion Week. Zelyaeva is referring to the ban on underweight models at the recent Madrid Fashion Week. After a few weeks of gentle discussion, international fashionistas like Burberry's Christopher Bailey have ripped off their masks of gentility and declared the fat/thin debate "boring." All of which was just an excuse, really, to post the Getty photo at right from Milan's Max Mara show. That particular delta of Venus looks like it would provide bony refuge indeed.
