We know you were too busy living your lives to actually watch the M:i:III Primetime/20-20 special, so here's another clip. This time, Tom Cruise explains how Katie Holmes got "the willies" after watching him perform a dangerous stunt involving a sixteen-wheeler skidding over his prone body. Of course, by "the willies," Holmes actually meant, "the tantalizing, elusive thrill of knowing that she was one tanker truck mishap from freedom." The facial expressions associated with both emotional states are remarkably similar, so it's understandable if Cruise misinterpreted his war bride's reaction.
· Cruise on journalists who try to goad him into confrontation or otherwise participate in the media conspiracy against him: "Because when I meet these people, they really seem unhappy to me. And that's too bad. Because I'm happy." We really hope he never discovers bloggers, whose profound misery might really bring him down. [ContactMusic]
· Holmes gave Cruise her blessing to do publicity for the M:i:III premiere in Rome (read: she got an extra day to carve out her subterranean escape tunnel with a baby spoon), where a "fan" obviously not on his publicist's payroll tossed a teddy bear with the following note in the actor's path: "This is for Suri, we wish her lots of love and good things. Tom go always like you're doing now. Kiss to Katie." [AP]
