The Gawkerites moved into new digs — did you hear? — painted them dark and depressing, shipped a couple of sofas from upstate, and then ran out of energy. So, as usual, we're hoping for a bailout by a Gawker reader. (When in doubt, we throw ourselves on your mercy.)

The ideal candidate would be a student or recent graduate with a background or interest in architecture or interior design and a knack for shopping. The gig would mainly require shopping for old couches and armchairs. We're going for a mix of musty newsroom and shabby internet cafe. (Furniture like this.) The job will be paid, poorly. But, on the plus side, you'll get to hobnob with our techies and ad-sales guys and the other poor shlubs forced to go into the office.
