The problem with political events today — and especially the problem with Hillary Clinton's political events these days — is that they're just too loose. Too freeform, too unscripted, too let-it-all-hang-out. You know what would solve the problem? If only we could have a wax-figure political rally. Then finally wild-n-crazy Hillary would be as stiff and scripted as we all wish she could be.

Um, yeah.

This is all to say: The PR gurus at Rubenstein and Associates devised a nutty scheme to unveil Madame Toussaud's new HRC wax figure: a faux Hillary for President campaign event. One imagines the only "supporters" in attendance at this profoundly weird bit of theater were on the Rubenstein payroll, but there was at least one other attendee — the Observer's Politicker, who sends along pix showing that if politics make strange bedfellows, wax politics make even stranger ones.

More shots after the jump.
