While most brands are pursuing television and digital media and putting the kibosh on print ventures, the saps at Hallmark, having sold its entertainment unit and put its cable channel up for auction, it currently developing a magazine — because, you know, business logic is for suckas. The company did two test issues of a Hallmark mag in 2003 and 2004 (focusing on relationships, crafts, food, and other such domestic evils), both of which did well enough with menstruating housewives to inspire further development.

The book should debut later this year, with adorable art direction and flowery, decorative fonts. Personally, we're looking forward to the Zelda Wisdom for Your Bar Mitzvah issue.
