'Member back to September 2004? When Martha Stewart decided she wanted to go to prison right away, rather than waiting to see how an appeal would go? When she said she just wanted "to put this nightmare behind me," though of course she was sure she'd be vindicated on appeal?

Yeah, well, not so much, as Nat Ives reports in Ad Age:

A federal appeals court today rejected Martha Stewart's appeal of her 2004 conviction on obstruction of justice charges, meaning her status as a convicted felon remains intact.

The ruling in U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit in New York found that "none of the numerous grounds upon which" Ms. Stewart challenged her conviction" provides a basis to disturb the jury's verdict."

Which is to say: Among those of us who aren't felons, Martha, you just don't fit in.
