On Tuesday, the two most famous Kardashians who are not Kardashians, Kris and Bruce Jenner, formally announced their separation after 22 years of marriage.

In a statement to E! News, the couple revealed (?) they are living apart, a fact that has been public knowledge since Kris' daughter Khloe riffed on it with Jay Leno back in June. ("Well, they're not having problems," said Khloe then, even though the second half of her sentence—"but they still like to live apart"—would seem to disprove her thesis.) The Jenners told E! they "will always have much love and respect for each other" and "remain remain best friends," adding that "as always, our family will remain our number one priority." One would assume they mean this in the financial, brand-conscious sense.

Neither Jenner has officially raised the topic of divorce (possibly because they don't want to steal the spotlight from their children's impending divorces). Bruce will spend his days wandering aimlessly around upscale department stores, sitting quietly on a bench in the shoe area so as to be "out of the way," and giving way too much information when the happy hour server asks him "How ya doin' this evening?" Kris, will likely search for clarity and guidance where she always has: in the inspirational Instagram posts of Sean "Diddy" Combs.
