The Gen Art film festival opened last night with a screening of Kevin Bacon's latest film Loverboy — which, should everything go according to plan, will ensure that he's separated from everyone by merely four degrees. But what of the party, held at The Park?

Stella Artois and Bodu vodka plied the crowd full of All My Children "stars" and a very confused looking George C. Wolfe. Acura parked a car in the garden area and sponsored Movieoke, which is clearly now over. The gift bag:

current Time Out New York
current Paste magazine with DVD of short films and CD sampler
Stella Artois mints
a bag of blue Terra chips
2-week free trial OR $100 off membership to Crunch
Brazilian Girls EP
Solonga mix cd
can of Izze sparkling juice drink
all in an ugly black embossed attache case

We're all about the freebies here, but Time Out, Stella Artois mints, Acura, and Terra chips? Sweet Jesus. After working with Damon Dash on the Woodsmen, you'd think Bacon would know better and give out a pair of Jordans or something. We'll give this event a solid 7/10 on our scientific FuckingWasteOfTime Scale.
