Everyone knows New Orleans is for drinking, but it's also becoming the go-to spot for slummy celebrity bar-hopping. After Lindsay Lohan turned a Girls Gone Wild event into her personal cotillion, Jude Law follows suit in his own reserved, British-y way. A reader writes:

We were in New Orleans last week and went to this hole in the wall place in the middle of nowhere, Vaughn s — I guess it's known for having good music. The band takes a break, I walk up to the bar to get another drink, turn around and think I see Jude Law. He's by himself. A couple of drinks later, the band starts up again, and he's standing right next to me. So I went over to him and said, I feel lame doing this, but I know I'd regret it if I didn't say hello to you. I introduced myself, shook his hand. Asked stupid questions like, Are you filming here? (Yes. A remake of All the King s Men.) How long have you been in New Orleans? (Since November.) Are you enjoying it? (Yes, with a smirk, because I ve asked such inane questions.) Then I said, I'll let you get back to enjoying the music. It was nice meeting you. I was a changed woman. Jude then left with a bunch of college-aged guys.

Emphasis ours, because we find that last bit highly interesting. But we have overactive imaginations — we're sure he was just headed back to Sigma Chi for some ritual hazing.
