World's Most Arrogant Poker Player Loses Hand, Wins Internet Fame
Sitting pretty on two pairs against an opponent with a single pair and a prayer, World Series of Poker participant Carter Gill went all in with just the river card left to reveal.
"All you need is a queen," Gill smugly taunted David Paredes, who did indeed need a queen to win the hand and near-million-dollar pot.
"It was your talking that did it," Paredes would later tell Gill after his face did that thing yours does when you realize it's the end of a long weekend.
