Our boy Nono has done it again! With God-given glottal control and an uncompromising devotion to his craft, the world's greatest pig squealer took home his sixth consecutive championship title at the Salon de l'Agriculture at Paris' Porte de Versailles this month. The time for haters is over. Three cheers for Nono!

Years ago, when Nono was still a fresh face on the international pig-squealing scene, certain criticisms were understandable, even warranted: His vocal fry is underdeveloped. The mud-roll is elegant, but there's no real grit behind it. If Nono is going to take his place among the greats, he needs to learn the meaning of discipline. Now, Nono is running victory laps and his critics are hanging their heads in shame.

The Local reports on the historic 2015 performance:

This year, he walked onto the stage at the Agricultural Fair (Salon de l'Agriculture) at the Porte de Versailles in Paris and told the crowd: "I'll give you a good show - here comes the birth of a pig, breastfeeding, and then its death".

And for the first year at the fair, the competition wasn't just to be the best in France, with organizers dubbing it the "world championships" thanks to the presence of a Belgian competitor.

And it's not the kind of skill one can pick up overnight, with Nono revealing that he's been practicing since the age of 15.

But not everyone is squealing with delight over the farmer's imitation.

Midway through the video above, the viewer might glimpse a handful of lesser competitors also dressed as pigs, watching soberly from stage right. The disappointment and awe on their faces as they witness the virtuosity on display are as plain as the engorged nipples on a breastfeeding sow.

Better luck next time, gentlemen. 2015 is Nono's year.
