Woman Sues Bill Cosby for Denying That He Drugged and Groped Her
Tamara Green, who first accused Bill Cosby of drugging and groping her in the 1970s on The Today Show in 2005, is now suing Cosby for defamation. Since the statute of limitations has run out for sexual assault, this is one way Green can face him in court.
According to TMZ, Green, a retired attorney, is suing Cosby for lying and denying that he assaulted her. She claims that "repeated denials from Cosby's publicist have branded her a liar. As a result, Green says she's been ridiculed in her private life and professionally."
In an interview with the Daily Mail in November, Green repeated her claims that Cosby drugged and groped her. She alleges that when she was in her early 20s, Cosby gave her two pills at lunch because she was complaining of flu-like symptoms. He took her home, and then in her words, "he took my clothes off, touched me up and masturbated next to me. I was so stoned, I thought I was dying."
She continued, "Bill Cosby is twisted, he's a sexual predator who attacked me and has done the same to dozens of women that I know of," she said. "But he continues to refuse to acknowledge it, which is what angers me and the other women most. He should come clean and apologize for what he has done."
Cosby's reps haven't commented on the defamation suit, which comes on the heels of one former Playboy Bunny's allegation that Cosby raped her and a dozen other bunnies.
