It’s one thing to endorse someone for president. It’s a whole different ballgame to memorize what they say, word for word, and mouth it as they say it.

But for Steve King, the U.S. Representative from Iowa, the memorization of Ted Cruz’s speeches, and hand gestures, are just another way to express his affection and admiration. In a Vine posted earlier this week, King is seen mumbling along with Cruz, as he speaks at a campaign rally. The Vine is truly a triumph of unsettling majesty:

King has expressed his admiration for the Republican presidential candidate before, endorsing him in a similarly unsettling video last November. It makes sense, though—King is an anti-Muslim homophobe who advocated for the rights of dog fighters. It’s a match made in heaven.
