Not surprisingly, I'm closest to Emmanuel Saez.
Center-left socialism and an obsession with wealth inequality pretty much sums it up.
I'm pretty sure most of us will be Mr. Saez, given the leanings of folks 'round these parts.
All of them, Katie.
All of them.
Eeeeesh that is hard to watch.
I think these questions are pretty poorly written. For instance:
"(3) Restricting US exports of liquefied natural gas would have adverse effects on the US economy."
Now, according to the survey, strongly disagreeing with this "strongly deviate[s] from expert consensus".
The expert consensus is that being underwater from global warming is not an adverse effect on the economy? Or that poisoning the aquifers will not have an adverse effect on the economy?
That doesn't seem very smart. I know that natural gas isn't as bad as coal or gasoline, but it is still a fossil fuel, and still releases a shit ton of methane and carbon into the atmosphere.
As someone who considers herself more economically literate than average, with some academic background in the subject, I must ask:
WTF is it with economists and bow-ties?
